Orthotics help support your body's alignment by helping maintain the arches of your feet. Your feet act as the foundation for your body. When your feet have structural abnormalities (such as a dropped arch) it can cause improper posture throughout the lower extremities and into the pelvis and back. Wearing orthotics can therefore, do more than just help support the foot. Correcting the abnormalities of the foot’s arch can help maintain proper posture of the above-mentioned areas. Our office uses one of the leaders in custom orthotics, Foot Levelers, Inc. They have been in the business for over 50 years and are continually performing research to stay on the cutting edge of advances in the industry. Visit their website, www.footlevelers.com to learn more about this research and the products they offer.
We utilize Foot Leveler’s most up to date technology for the customization of orthotics. During your orthotic consultation, a digital scan of each foot will be performed. This captures an exact impression of your feet while you are standing, thus in a weight bearing position. The scan measures 16 points on each foot to give Foot Levelers a detailed map from which they can create an orthotic that is built for the pressures applied to the arches of your feet while active. These are high quality orthotics and are built to last. Dr. Marc Peyser has had his pair for over 10 years!
